Overview

To fly a drone:

You must be 16 and above
You must register and get an approval
You must have a registered company in case of Specific and Complex drones (see below)

Operations

Open

These are recreational drones. You are only allowed to register two open drones

Specific

These are drones used for small scale businesses such as media coverage. Specific drones must weigh between 25 and 150 kg.

Certified

Certified drones are drones used for large scale activities. To register a complex drone, you must provide details of your company. It must weigh 150 kg and above.

Drone Registration Process

Open Operation

Fill out the drone details
Pay the registration fee
You will receive an email containing your unique identity number

Specific / Certified Operation

Fill out the drone details
Upload letter of Intent
Fill out your company details
Pay the registration fee
Fill out the registration form sent to your email and submit to NCAA
ONSA screening exercise
Demonstration/Inspection Phase
